They design mechanical systems and assemblies, develop technical specifications and basic designs, prepare detailed budgets, design components, tools, and materials—specifying reference limits for calculations, performing calculations and drafting. They implement maintenance activities, test systems, mechanical assemblies, components, and tools, carry out product manufacturing activities, and prepare technical documentation. They issue Technical Responsibility Statements (ART) for the documents and budgets prepared, as well as for activities under their responsibility. They schedule and perform maintenance tasks, participate in solutions to improve operational performance, and carry out other duties relevant to the position. Experience with fan-coil units, split systems, window-type air conditioners, self-contained units, automation, refrigerated chambers, and chillers.
