Job Summary: Operational and logistical support in cargo handling, ensuring safety and organization of lifting activities. Key Highlights: 1. Opportunity to develop expertise in cargo handling. **Your main responsibilities will be:** * Provide operational and logistical support for cargo handling activities, assisting in site preparation, accessory assembly, and maneuver signaling, ensuring the operating radius is clear and safe. * Prepare cribbing materials, organize lifting accessories (cables, slings, and shackles), assist in area isolation, and perform cleaning and maintenance of the equipment set. **Your main tasks will be:** * **Site Preparation and Cribbing:** Position sleepers, steel planks, or wooden chocks at locations designated by the operator for equipment cribbing. * **Handling of Accessories:** Sort and visually inspect slings, shackles, chains, and spreader beams before each use, reporting damage or wear. * **Area Isolation:** Set up barricades and enclosures around the crane's swing radius using cones, tapes, or barriers to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering. * **Jib Assembly Assistance:** Assist the operator in assembling and disassembling auxiliary booms (jibs) and counterweights. * **Signaling and Guidance:** Use a guide rope to control load oscillation during lifting. * **Cleaning and Maintenance:** Wash equipment, clean grease fittings, and organize toolboxes and supporting materials. **Requirements:** * Completed high school education; * Prior experience or basic knowledge of cargo handling is desirable; * Driver's license with Category B is desirable. **Preferred qualifications:** * Knowledge of performing basic rigging and safely using guide ropes. * Visual ability to determine whether a load is balanced or whether an accessory is compatible with the specified weight.
