Position: Senior Laboratory Analyst Department: Laboratory **Summary:** Plan and conduct tests and analyze their data to obtain sample results; assist in developing and validating laboratory methods; calculate test uncertainty and critically analyze results and control charts; perform sample grinding and aliquoting processes; be responsible for cleaning workbenches, instruments, equipment, glassware, and workstations; execute and/or be responsible for sample extraction processes; prepare reagents used in tests; dispose of reagents, samples, and process waste; record material inventory withdrawals; train new employees on area processes; plan and/or execute the monthly sample quality control routine; transcribe test results; assist in tests and/or sample analysis and/or data analysis for physicochemical, macroscopic, microscopic, and immunoassay departments; manage waste scheduled for disposal; arrange corrective equipment maintenance; and generate test reports. **Responsibilities** * Plan and conduct tests according to procedures and departmental requirements, using necessary equipment based on test or laboratory type. Analyze data from conducted tests to obtain sample results, verify charts, and record information in designated spreadsheets. * Assist in developing and validating laboratory methods. * Calculate test uncertainty and critically analyze results and control charts to ensure test result quality. * Perform sample grinding and aliquoting processes using required equipment, withdrawing duplicate samples and grinding until achieving the size and quantity needed for analysis. * Be responsible for cleaning workbenches, instruments, equipment, glassware, and workstations by washing, cleaning, and following company-defined standards to ensure process quality and prevent cross-contamination. * Execute and/or be responsible for sample extraction processes, using required reagents and/or equipment and reporting any deviations. * Prepare reagents used in tests according to laboratory procedures. * Dispose of reagents, samples, and process waste in locations defined by the company to ensure proper disposal. * Record material inventory withdrawals used in analyses and communicate purchase needs in the system. * Train new employees on area processes within your scope of responsibility when requested. * Plan and/or execute the monthly sample quality control routine according to the received plan. * Transcribe test results from spreadsheets into the computerized system, ensuring complete and accurate information. * Conduct tests and/or analyze samples and/or analyze test data for physicochemical, macroscopic, microscopic, and immunoassay departments. * Manage waste scheduled for disposal by verifying disposal needs, organizing, informing your immediate supervisor, and monitoring collection. * Arrange corrective equipment maintenance by contacting external providers designated by the company and monitoring to ensure problem resolution. * Generate test reports by cross-checking system records with result spreadsheets to ensure accurate and complete information. * Comply with internal health and safety regulations and those of clients. * Identify deviations, risks, and/or opportunities in your routine and communicate them to responsible parties to define appropriate actions for each case and align with the team. * Maintain and ensure confidentiality of information. * Provide information to professionals regarding questions about completed work. * Perform additional tasks of the same nature and complexity as those established for this position, observing your scope of responsibility according to departmental demand and/or request from your immediate supervisor. **Technical Knowledge** **Required:** * Extensive technical knowledge in the field of expertise and/or meeting specific requirements for the Junior Analyst position. * Ability to interpret and analyze results. * Knowledge to identify and solve low-to-moderate complexity problems efficiently, based on technical analysis and critical reasoning. * Experience in chromatography **Recommended:** * Specific technical knowledge in the field of expertise. * Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 standard. * Basic English proficiency. **Education/Qualification:** Required: Completed Technical or Higher Education **Skills:** * Technical responsibility * Critical thinking * Collaboration **Experience/Practical Knowledge:** Minimum one year of laboratory experience. 8bVFPV7Dn7
