An engineering and construction management company seeks a Cost Engineer in São Bernardo do Campo. **Responsibilities:** Prepare civil construction and building installation budgets. Perform quantity takeoffs from project drawings, descriptive memoranda, and technical scopes. Analyze civil, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, HVAC, fire prevention and suppression, and other complementary discipline projects. Develop direct and indirect cost compositions, considering BDI (Basic Direct Cost + Indirect Costs), social charges, and labor laws. Obtain quotations from suppliers and contractors, negotiating delivery timelines and commercial terms. Balance technical and commercial proposals. Support risk analysis, assumptions, exclusions, and commercial conditions of budgets. Prepare budget spreadsheets, technical proposals, and commercial proposals. Maintain an updated price database aligned with market practices and values. Previous experience as a Cost Engineer, Budget Analyst, Budget Planning Specialist, or Project Engineer may indicate suitability for some responsibilities of this position. Bachelor's degree required.
