Job Summary: Provide technical guidance for executing preventive maintenance and planning scheduled corrective maintenance on underground mining equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and cost control. Focus on reliability and operational safety **MISSION** Provide technical guidance for executing preventive maintenance, conduct sensory inspections on underground equipment, and plan scheduled corrective maintenance, ensuring reliability, physical availability, operational safety, and cost control of the underground mining heavy equipment fleet. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Technically supervise the execution of preventive maintenance in the field; * Ensure proper implementation of maintenance plans, checklists, and procedures; * Guide the maintenance team on correct sequence of tasks, assembly standards, adjustments, torque specifications, and interpretation of recurring failures; * Technically validate critical maintenance services performed; * Provide technical support to mechanics for complex doubts or interventions; * Ensure preventive maintenance focuses on root cause elimination, not merely component replacement; * Act as a multiplier of best practices for underground maintenance; * Conduct periodic and systematic sensory inspections on equipment in underground environments; * Identify anomalies through hearing (abnormal noises), vision (leaks, cracks, wear, misalignments), touch (overheating, looseness, vibrations), and smell (odors of oil, fuel, burnt material); * Evaluate conditions of systems: hydraulic, lubrication, engines, transmission, electrical/electronic, and structural. * Document findings technically, including: clear description of the anomaly, precise location, severity level, and expected failure progression. * Classify failures by risk category: safety, production, and asset integrity. * Provide technical input for decisions regarding shutdown, release, or postponement of maintenance. * Convert anomalies identified during inspections into scheduled corrective maintenance plans; * Define the technical scope of intervention: required services, involved components, special tools, and necessary resources; * Estimate maintenance time, labor, materials, and spare parts; * Prioritize corrective maintenance based on equipment criticality, production impact, safety risk, and failure cost; * Interface with PCM for scheduling corrective maintenance and aligning with operational windows; * Monitor execution of scheduled corrective maintenance, validating technical quality, adherence to plan, and effectiveness of implemented solutions; * Feed back failure data and recommendations to fleet engineering. * Perform other related duties as required and/or at the discretion of the supervisor. **REQUIREMENTS:** * Technical diploma in Electrotechnology, Electromechanics, Automation, or related fields; * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields (in progress) is desirable; * Driver’s license Category B; * Solid experience in the field. * Theoretical and practical knowledge of equipment from manufacturers Caterpillar, Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, and Volvo used in underground mines.
