A professional responsible for supervising the quality inspection team in industrial production processes (metal structures), ensuring product conformity and compliance with technical standards.
Will perform non-conformance control, quality report analysis, internal inspections and supplier inspections, as well as monitoring tests and technical records (Liquid Penetrant testing, paint adhesion, coating thickness (micrometers), and surface roughness).
Supervise and guide the quality inspectors team throughout the production process, ensuring product conformity (metal structures and/or concrete).
Monitor and control non-conformances on the shop floor, ensuring proper registration, analysis, and resolution.
Prepare and analyze quality reports per project/site, identifying deviations, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans aimed at continuous process improvement and waste reduction.
Conduct quality inspections in internal processes and third-party suppliers.
Monitor quality tests and controls, such as:
Liquid Penetrant (LP)
Paint adhesion
Coating thickness (micrometers)
Surface roughness
Ensure proper completion, organization, and archiving of technical documents and quality checklists.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and painting departments to ensure compliance with project requirements and technical specifications.
Monitor pre-assembly of structures, ensuring dimensional and assembly conformity.
Promote implementation and maintenance of organizational and quality methodologies, such as 5S.
Conduct periodic training and capacity-building sessions for the team, reinforcing a quality-oriented culture.
Requirements:* Technical or undergraduate degree in Engineering, Civil, Production, Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related fields.
* Prior experience in industrial quality supervision, preferably in metal structures or precast concrete segments.
* Knowledge of inspection processes, quality control, and non-conformance management.
* Familiarity with quality tools (5S, PDCA, root cause analysis, etc.).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Experience preparing reports and managing data in Excel. Basic knowledge of Production Planning and Control (PPC).
