Monitoring and inspecting mechanical assembly and piping This professional is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, interpreting technical drawings, conducting operational tests, adjustments, and calibrations. Additionally, they must identify failures, propose improvements, and ensure proper equipment operation. This role is performed autonomously but under supervision, requiring solid technical knowledge in the field of mechanics. The professional monitors and inspects mechanical assembly and integrity of equipment and piping, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards, with emphasis on process safety and quality. * Inspect piping and support installation; perform dimensional verification, alignment, threading, and welding inspection. * Monitor NDT (LP/PM/UT/RT) conducted by qualified inspectors, hydrostatic/pneumatic tests, and leak testing. * Monitor installation of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, vessels, filters, valves (on\-off and control), mechanical commissioning, and preservation. * Perform controlled torqueing and tensioning; laser alignment and functional testing. * Verify isometrics, P&IDs, line lists, and material lists; manage “as\-built” documentation. * Issue progress reports, punch lists, and RDOs; support pre\-operation planning. * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment * Interpret technical drawings and component specifications * Conduct operational tests, adjustments, and calibrations on equipment * Identify failures and defects in mechanical equipment * Propose improvements to processes and equipment * Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards * Replace damaged parts and components * Supervise and guide assistants and helpers during task execution * Maintain records of performed maintenance and used parts * Participate in training and capacity-building sessions for technical updating * Collaborate with the engineering team in implementing new projects * Maintain workplace organization and cleanliness
