Responsible for operating the cash register at designated sales points, through controls, records, and efficient and accurate billing of food and beverage consumption by guests and customers, strictly adhering to the policies and procedures established by the Hotel. Ensures that the cash register system functions correctly and has all necessary equipment and information to perform its duties, avoiding delays and uncertainties in billing; Reviews the information board to stay informed about daily operations: occupancy, arrivals, events and groups within the Hotel, VIP list, daily exchange rate, as well as any other communication related to its activities; Collects the security cash box, assigning its fixed cash fund and verifying its completeness. Manages and is responsible for the fixed cash fund and deposits it at the end of the shift according to established procedures; Performs cash register system operations and transactions at designated sales points, recording and billing food and beverage consumption by customers and guests, according to payment method and guest credit status, strictly following established policies and procedures; Applies policies regarding: guest credit, payment methods, foreign currencies, complimentary services, adjustments, discounts, etc., as well as procedures for food and beverage items included in promotional packages, master accounts for groups, etc. Maintains consumption receipts in an orderly manner, continuously verifying that no consumption entries remain pending in the system or billing, and promptly reporting any anomalies to the immediate supervisor; Together with the immediate supervisor, confirms that all food and beverage prices served at sales points are updated in the system and maintains a list thereof for contingencies, as well as a list of authorized personnel permitted to sign authorizations and complimentary services; Conducts statistical tracking of side dishes, main courses, buffet items, and wines sold. Prepares sales reports. Tips, commissions, executive checks, and complimentary services (happy hour), attaching supporting documentation to the report; Performs cash count at the end of the shift and prepares a report on cash surplus/shortage, attaching supporting documentation.
