




ACTIVITIES * Perform exclusive and advanced nursing procedures in accordance with the care model guidelines to ensure the institution’s best practices; * Receive shift handover and provide direct patient care, observing, monitoring, recognizing signs/symptoms, documenting interventions, and, at the end of the shift, reporting and clarifying the care delivered to patients through a structured institutional shift handover tool, thereby ensuring safe and efficient patient care throughout the entire care process and continuity of care upon conclusion of the shift under one’s responsibility; * Implement and plan the Nursing Care Systematization (NCS), establishing levels of responsibility for executing planned interventions among the nursing team, evaluating outcomes, and documenting them during hospitalization according to each patient’s needs. * Coordinate processes that guarantee safe, high-quality care for all patients under one’s responsibility across various critical situations, in accordance with institutional guidelines, to ensure safe care—for example: scheduling and verifying medical prescriptions to maintain safe continuity of care; ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance of unit equipment to preserve proper functionality per institutional policies; complying with and enforcing applicable standards, regulations, and legislation relevant to the scope of practice; contributing to the development and implementation of technical operational manuals for the nursing team across various service areas; contributing to the development and implementation of educational manuals for patients and their families; * Promote and participate in multidisciplinary team integration, striving to ensure comprehensive care for patients and their families; * Support other departments as directed by leadership, facilitating care for all inpatients at HSC; * Actively participate in multidisciplinary rounds to align the care needs of patients and their families under one’s responsibility; * Ensure active communication with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate planning and execution of actions aligned with best practices and to support staff development through education based on institutional norms, protocols, and procedures, aiming to update and enhance the nursing team’s competencies; * Supervise and train newly hired staff performing the same clinical role; * Carry out duties in accordance with institutional protocols, pursuing systematic prevention and control of harm, and recognizing and prioritizing cases based on care complexity and urgency during health care delivery, through adherence to patient safety goals; * Participate in institutional training programs, events relevant to the position, and professional development opportunities within Rede Santa Catarina; * Disseminate information related to best clinical practices, train and educate the multidisciplinary team, and support continuing education in one’s area of practice, while complying with and enforcing applicable standards, regulations, and legislation relevant to the scope of practice; * Report non-conformities and identified incidents to sustain the quality and safety of care provided; * Implement safety practices by complying with NR-32 regulations, occupational medicine, Hospital Infection Control Service (SCIH), and Occupational Safety and Health Service (SEST); * Transfer patients to the operating room, verifying preoperative preparation according to the patient’s diagnosis using a standardized tool (SAEP—Perioperative Nursing Care Systematization) to ensure safety in line with international standards; * Promote and disseminate preventive measures.
