**About this opportunity:**
Work Location – Rio de Janeiro and surrounding region
We are looking for a dynamic, communicative, and results-oriented professional to join our Sales team as an Applications and Sales Specialist focused on Confocal Microscopy, primarily serving customers in Life Sciences and Biological Research. We seek a candidate with solid technical expertise in confocal microscopy, capable of working consultatively with researchers, universities, research centers, and industry to identify opportunities, propose high-value solutions, and drive business growth. Knowledge of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) will be considered a relevant advantage. This role requires a hands-on mindset, ownership mentality, high accountability for deliverables, autonomy, and strong relationship-building skills.
**Responsibilities:**
* Serve as a technical-commercial specialist for confocal microscopy solutions, supporting customers from initial need identification through to deal closure.
* Conduct technical demonstrations, commercial presentations, and applied consultations aligned with customer requirements.
* Develop technical and commercial proposals tailored to customers’ scientific and operational challenges.
* Prospect new business opportunities and expand relationships with strategic accounts.
* Manage the sales pipeline and opportunities in CRM, ensuring forecasting accuracy and commercial discipline.
* Participate in conferences, trade shows, workshops, and scientific events to promote solutions and strengthen professional networks.
* Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Applications, and After-Sales.
* Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advances related to microscopy and biological sciences.
* Execute commercial processes autonomously, with urgency and a results-driven focus.
**Mandatory Requirements**
* Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related fields.
* Solid experience with Confocal Microscopy and its applications in biological sciences.
* Practical laboratory research experience, scientific environment exposure, or experience commercializing scientific instrumentation.
* Advanced English proficiency for technical and commercial interaction.
* Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50% of time).
* Valid driver’s license.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Knowledge or experience with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
* Postgraduate qualification, Master’s, or PhD.
* Prior experience in consultative sales of scientific equipment.
* CRM knowledge (Salesforce or similar).
* Experience with X-ray 3D microscopy (XRM).
