Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to data pipelines, platform components, and core engineering activities while following established standards, agile practices, and development protocols. This role is designed to help you deliver reliable, testable software, strengthen foundational engineering skills, and support the ongoing evolution of Experian Marketing Services’ data platforms. **Your Key Responsibilities** * **Contribute to data platform components and scalable data pipelines** by using established frameworks, coding standards, and guidance from senior engineers to support reliable processing of large‑scale data workloads. * **Apply foundational software engineering best practices**, including coding conventions, version control, testing, and documentation, to produce maintainable and reliable code while building technical proficiency. * **Assist with testing and release activities**, executing test cases, validating changes, and following release procedures to ensure software quality and stability. * **Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and cross‑functional teams** in an agile environment to support feature development, enhancements, and team delivery commitments. * **Develop technical skills continuously** through hands‑on work, mentorship, and structured feedback, increasing independence and scope of contribution over time. * **Follow operational and engineering protocols**, including monitoring practices, testing procedures, and deployment standards, to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance across the data platform. **Qualifications** **What We Expect From You** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. * **6 months to 2 years of experience** in software or data engineering environments. * Foundational understanding of software engineering concepts and good coding practices. * Exposure to or interest in learning big data technologies such as **Scala, Spark**, and distributed processing. * Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * Basic understanding of data processing concepts including partitioning, parallel workloads, and query optimization. * Experience with version control systems and adherence to coding standards. * Ability to write testable code and participate in testing and documentation activities. * Understanding of agile development methodologies. * Strong collaboration, communication, and continuous‑learning mindset. * **+ Advanced English and availability to work hybrid in São Carlos/SP.** **Nice to Have** * Exposure to **DBT** or other data transformation tools. * Familiarity with concurrent or parallel programming concepts. * Experience with data migration tools. * Exposure to functional programming languages such as Scala. **Additional Information** **Why this role matters** This role protects Experian’s reputation and ensures ethical and compliant operations across Brazil.
