Duties range from the initial stage of construction (foundation) to final finishing. Main Responsibilities of a Carpenter (Technical) * **Wooden Structures:** Assembly of beams, rafters, roofs, wall structures (wood frame), and slabs. * **Formwork Carpentry (Construction Site):** Fabrication of wooden formwork for concrete pouring of columns, beams, and slabs. * **Installation and Finishing:** Assembly of doors, windows, wooden floors, stairs, moldings, and trim. * **Reading Drawings:** Interpretation of technical drawings and blueprints to ensure alignment, plumb, and squareness of the structure. * **Tool Handling:** Safe use of hand tools (hammer, handsaw, chisel) and power tools/machinery (circular saw, drill, sander). * **Workplace Safety:** Construction of scaffolding and ladders, adhering to safety regulations (use of PPE).
