Job Summary: We are seeking a Java Backend Developer with experience in microservices and Azure to work autonomously, solve complex problems, and ensure code quality within agile teams. Experience with microservices architecture and Azure About the Opportunity: We are looking for a Java Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in microservices architecture and cloud environments (Microsoft Azure). We seek a candidate with a 'product owner' mindset, capable of working autonomously—from technical refinement of user stories through to deployment and monitoring. Your main responsibilities: * Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, taking full responsibility ('ownership') for user stories and tasks. * Develop and maintain scalable applications using Java 17 or later and the Spring ecosystem. * Design and implement microservices and web services, applying Hexagonal Architecture and MVC principles. * Actively participate in agile ceremonies, contributing ideas, estimates, and communication alignment with the team. * Ensure software quality through unit testing and best practices in continuous integration. * Perform relational and NoSQL database modeling and maintenance. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Requirements and Qualifications What You Need (Mandatory): * Experience: Minimum of 7 years of solid experience as a Java Backend Developer. * Soft Skills: Proactivity, adaptability, and excellent communication skills for agile environments. * Languages and Frameworks: Java 17, Spring ecosystem (Boot, Cloud, Data, Security), JBOSS, and Maven. * Architecture: Strong knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture and MVC pattern for microservices development. * Databases: Practical experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Hands-on experience with DB2, Oracle, SQL Server (proficient in creating/maintaining stored procedures), as well as MongoDB (On-Premise and Atlas), CosmosDB, and HBase. * Integrations: Consuming RESTful services and using API clients (Postman, Insomnia, or Bruno). * Quality and Testing: Proficiency in unit testing (JUnit / Mockito), Logback + SLF4J, Swagger, and SonarQube (SonarLint). * Tools and Version Control: Git (Bitbucket or GitHub), Gitflow or Bamboo workflows, GitHub Copilot, and familiarity with major IDEs (Eclipse, IntelliJ, or VS Code). What Will Set You Apart (Desirable): * Additional Languages/Libraries: Kubernetes, MapStruct, Lombok, and PowerMock. * Messaging and Events: Experience with Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ. * Best Practices and Quality: Knowledge of Clean Code, SOLID principles, TDD/BDD, and DevOps culture. * Monitoring and Observability: Dynatrace, Elastic Stack ELK (Kibana), OpenTelemetry (Otel), and ArgoCD (pod health in cloud). * Management Tools: Jira, Confluence, Starteam. * Innovation: Familiarity with AI-assisted development (MS Copilot or other GenAI IDEs). * Microsoft Azure certification(s).
