Individualized care and practice in critical areas Perform nursing procedures and care for patients of the Institution undergoing clinical and/or surgical treatment, involving technical-level activities aimed at ensuring quality of care provided and patient safety. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform nursing procedures and care for critical patients of the Institution undergoing clinical or surgical treatment; * Implement preventive measures for identified risks based on institutional protocols; * Record relevant information regarding patients under your responsibility to ensure safety and continuity of treatment; * Participate in the surgical process, including verification of the surgery schedule, verification of the operating room, checking surgical kits, receiving and transferring the patient to the operating table, preoperative precautions, setting up the operating table, assisting during surgery itself, transferring the patient to the post-anesthesia recovery room, and preparing the operating room for the next surgery; * Organize the anesthesia process in operating rooms, including arranging materials, anesthetic medications and necessary equipment, transferring the patient from the stretcher to the operating table, assisting during anesthesia administration, as well as participating in anesthesia management for patients scheduled for cardiac surgery, which requires specialized care, time, equipment, devices and medications; * Provide individualized care to critical patients admitted to ICUs or clinical wards; * Collect and/or forward examinations requested by physicians; * Verify medical and nursing prescriptions, applying signature and official stamp; * Assist in performing medical procedures such as: chest drainage, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, colonoscopy, intracath insertion, etc., assembling specific materials for these procedures to stabilize hemodynamic parameters; * Instruct visitors during visiting hours about hand hygiene and its importance in preventing infections among patients under your care; * Monitor material and medication expenditures as well as expiration dates to prevent waste; * Assist nurses and/or physicians in performing invasive procedures and provide required materials; * Work in critical areas, delivering care to severely ill patients requiring invasive devices; * Check and replenish supplies on ICU bed panels, such as gauze, catheters, suction equipment, sterile gloves, Ambu bags, etc.; * Verify trays prepared for urgent procedures, date them, and restock missing items; * Inspect the emergency cart and test the defibrillator daily; * Perform other duties as needed or at the discretion of the unit nurse; * Admit patients to the unit together with the nurse, receive admission forms and medical records, escort patients to their beds, identify them, and identify their medication bins; * Participate in shift handover, bed-to-bed, communicating important information to colleagues alongside the entire nursing team; * Participate in planning nursing care; * Actively participate in the risk management program, avoiding errors and harm to patients under your care; in case of evidence thereof, notify the responsible nurse, deliver interventions to minimize risk, and record in the prescription; * Perform all nursing actions except those exclusively reserved for nurses, according to the General Nursing Procedures Manual; * Participate in discharge planning for patients, providing guidance to patients and companions—jointly with the nurse—regarding care and devices, if necessary. * Verify ideal conditions for patient referral in the preoperative phase of surgeries; promptly respond to verbal requests or call bell signals from hospitalized patients; * Safely administer medications, preventing harm to patients; knowledge of High-Alert Medications is required; * Maintain cleanliness of the unit and report non-conformities in this process to the hygiene service; * Maintain and preserve unit equipment and materials, reporting equipment needs to the equipment center and withdrawing equipment when no longer in use; * Keep patient medical records and documents properly organized; * Notify the nurse regarding repairs, maintenance, or missing equipment in the unit; * Participate in defining the daily order of individual patient supplies. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; (Instituto de Aposentadoria e Previdenciário dos Comerciantes / Retirement and Pension Institute for Merchants), until the merger of pension institutes, after which it came under INAMPS administration, serving only pension beneficiaries. In 1988, management transitioned to the Government of the State of São Paulo as part of SUS/SP. In January 2010, SPDM – Associação Paulista para o Desenvolvimento da Medicina (Paulista Association for the Development of Medicine), qualified as a Social Organization of Health (OSS), won the public call process for managing Hospital Brigadeiro.
