




Perform nursing procedures and patient care at the Institution for patients undergoing clinical and/or surgical treatment, carrying out technical-level activities aimed at ensuring the quality of care provided and patient safety. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform nursing procedures and patient care for critically ill patients at the Institution undergoing clinical or surgical treatment; * Implement preventive measures for identified risks based on institutional protocols; * Record relevant information regarding patients under their responsibility, ensuring safety and continuity of treatment; * Participate in the surgical process, including verification of the surgery schedule, checking the operating room, verifying surgical kits, receiving and transferring the patient to the operating table, preoperative precautions, setting up the operating table, assisting during surgery itself, transferring the patient to the post-anesthesia recovery room, and preparing the operating room for the next surgery; * Organize the anesthesia process in operating rooms, including arranging materials, anesthetic medications and necessary equipment, transferring the patient from the stretcher to the operating table, assisting during anesthesia administration, as well as participating in the anesthesia process for patients undergoing cardiac surgery—which requires special care, time, specific equipment, devices and medications; * Provide individualized care to critically ill patients admitted to ICUs or clinical wards; * Collect and/or send requested laboratory tests; * Verify medical and nursing prescriptions, signing and stamping them accordingly; * Assist in performing medical procedures such as chest drainage, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, colonoscopy, intracath insertion, etc., gathering specific materials for these procedures to stabilize hemodynamic parameters; * Instruct visitors during visiting hours on hand hygiene and its importance in preventing infection among patients under their care; * Monitor material and medication expenditures as well as expiration dates to prevent waste; * Assist nurses and/or physicians in performing invasive procedures and provide required materials; * Work in critical areas, delivering care to patients with higher severity levels and those using invasive devices; * Check and replenish supplies on ICU bed panels—such as gauze, catheters, suction equipment, sterile gloves, Ambu bags, etc.; * Verify trays prepared for emergency procedures, dating them and restocking missing items; * Inspect the emergency cart and test the defibrillator daily; * Carry out other tasks as needed or at the discretion of the unit nurse; * Admit patients into the unit together with the nurse, receiving the admission form and medical record, guiding the patient to their bed and identifying them—including their medication bin; * Participate in shift handovers bed-to-bed, communicating important information to colleagues alongside the entire nursing team; * Participate in planning nursing care; * Actively participate in the risk management program to avoid errors and harm to patients under their care; upon identification of such risks, immediately inform the responsible nurse, implement interventions to minimize risk, and document actions in the prescription; * Perform all nursing actions except those exclusively reserved for registered nurses, according to the General Nursing Procedures Manual; * Participate in discharge planning, jointly with the nurse, providing guidance to patients and their companions regarding care and devices, if necessary. * Verify optimal conditions for patient referral during the preoperative phase of surgeries; promptly respond to verbal requests or call bell alerts from inpatients; * Safely administer medications, preventing harm to patients; knowledge of High-Alert Medications is required; * Maintain cleanliness of the unit and report non-conformities to the hygiene service; * Ensure proper maintenance and conservation of unit equipment and materials; notify the Equipment Center regarding equipment needs or removal in case of disuse; * Keep patient records and documents organized; * Inform the nurse about repairs, maintenance requirements, and missing equipment in the unit; * Participate in defining the daily individual material requisition for patients. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education;
