Description

Job Summary: Transport patients between units and to examinations, ensuring safety, hygiene, and adherence to isolation protocols and PPE usage, with support from the team. Key Highlights: 1. Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of stretchers and equipment 2. Assist in planning and organizing patient transportation 3. Ensure patient safety and correct identification Transport patients between units and from units to internal examinations, meeting case-specific requirements such as use of specific PPE for isolated patients and coordination with the multidisciplinary health team to organize and perform transportation, while maintaining functional IV drips and other stretcher devices. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of stretchers; report to the nurse any need for repair of stretchers or auxiliary transportation equipment; * Be familiar with routines and operating hours of imaging diagnostic departments and other examination departments within the institution; * Understand specific PPE requirements for isolated patients; * Assist in planning and organizing transportation for each patient; * Keep stretcher side rails raised during patient transport; * Ensure patient identification safety by verifying full name and date of birth before initiating transport; * Return stretchers or wheelchairs to their originating department after completing transport; * Before initiating transport, confirm that the patient is correctly and safely positioned; * Perform other duties pertinent to the role. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Technical or nursing assistant training preferred (currently enrolled); * Prior knowledge/experience in this field is considered an advantage. **Additional Information** 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM **SPDM** \- Associação Paulista para o Desenvolvimento da Medicina is a non-profit civil association of philanthropic nature, recognized as a federal, state, and municipal public utility entity, respectively by Decrees No. 57\.925, dated 03/04/1966; No. 40\.103, dated 05/17/1962; and No. 8\.911, dated 07/30/1970\.
