Job Summary: Professional responsible for the installation, organization, and maintenance of structured cabling and associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with standards, safety, and quality. Advanced fiber optic expertise and Fluke DSX-8000 operation **Position: Structured Cabling Technician (Network Infrastructure)** Execute the installation, organization, and maintenance of **structured cabling** (copper and fiber) and associated infrastructure (racks, patch panels, conduits, and cable trays), ensuring **standards, safety, and quality**, in accordance with technical standards and project deadlines. **Main Responsibilities** * Network cabling installation (Cat6/Cat6A/Cat7\): cable pulling, crimping, termination (RJ45/Keystone), organization, and **labeling**. * Fiber optics: cable laying, termination/splicing (pigtail), polishing, DIO assembly, testing using **OTDR** and power meter. * Rack and patch panel setup: mounting, securing, organizing (Velcro/cable managers), grounding, and **color-coding standardization**. * Infrastructure: installation of **cable trays, conduits, ladder racks, raceways**, structural profiles, and accessories. * Certification and testing: use of **Fluke DSX** (or equivalent) for certification; generation of test reports. * Reading technical drawings (AutoCAD/architectural) and execution per **“as\-built”** specifications. * Wi\-Fi and active equipment: mounting APs, connecting to switches, identification, and powering via PoE. * CCTV/Access Control (desirable): cable pulling and identification (UTP/FO/Coax). * Safety: compliance with **NR\-10/NR\-35**, use of PPE/collective protection equipment, and safe work practices at height. * Documentation: checklists, photos, measurements, and technical handover. **Mandatory Requirements** * Experience in **structured cabling** * Knowledge of **TIA/EIA\-568, TIA\-606, and TIA\-569 standards**. * Proficiency in **crimping/termination** (UTP/STP). * Familiarity with **fiber optics** (termination/splicing/testing). * Ability to read **technical drawings**. * **Driver’s License Class B** and availability for travel/site work. **Preferred Qualifications** * **Electrical knowledge**: basic electrical understanding to support rack, PDU, and minor infrastructure energization tasks. * **Advanced fiber optics**: operation of fusion splicers, **OTDR**, optical backbone certification and maintenance. * Operation of **Fluke DSX\-8000** and generation of certification reports. * Full **rack assembly** (power, grounding, organization). * Experience with **CCTV/IP** and **Access Control** systems. * Valid **NR\-10 and NR\-35** training certifications.
