Job Summary:
Assist in meal production, perform food pre-preparation, clean utensils and equipment, and ensure food and occupational safety.

* Perform food pre-preparation for patients, companions, and staff according to instructions from chefs and the Nutrition Technician;
* Clean utensils;
* Record equipment temperatures;
* Comply with food hygiene and occupational safety standards.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Assist chefs in meal production in accordance with food hygiene standards, previously specified meal items for patients and staff, and the production schedule;
* Prepare coffee for breakfast and evening meals for patients, and coffee bottles for staff;
* Assist in meal preparation by washing, peeling, selecting, chopping, or grinding ingredients, and preparing simple desserts under guidance, as needed;
* Manage utensils to be used for meal distribution in the cafeteria;
* Stock the cafeteria distribution counter;
* Perform cleaning of departmental utensils and equipment, either at the sink or in the dishwasher;
* Deliver coffee and biscuits to closed departments, executive offices, meetings, and events;
* Distribute bottles of tea, coffee, and water according to the established schedule and designated locations, collecting them at scheduled times;
* Collect food samples for microbiological analysis;
* Ensure individual safety by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for each activity and promote collective safety through safe professional practices;
* Carry out activities applying departmental norms and procedures;
* Maintain custody, conservation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment, instruments, and materials used, as well as the workplace;
* Report any service-related incidents to the Nutrition Technician;
* Perform other related tasks upon request by supervisors;
* Operate food preparation and handling equipment under the guidance of the Nutrition Technician;
* Remove waste from work areas at the end of each shift, separating recyclables for disposal in properly labeled bins and general waste for storage in the waste chamber;
* Perform weekly cleaning of kitchen equipment according to the schedule.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Completed elementary education with official completion document;
* Prior experience in the field is desirable.

**About Early Childhood Education Centers**
In November 2019, eight (8) collaboration agreements were signed between Regional Education Directorates (DREs), represented by the Municipal Secretariat of Education (SME), and the Associação Paulista para o Desenvolvimento da Medicina (SPDM).
Currently, SPDM manages eleven (11) Early Childhood Education Centers located in the South, North, West, Central, and East regions of São Paulo City, in the neighborhoods of Vila Mariana \- Parque do Ibirapuera, Jaguaré, Parque Panamericano \- Jaraguá, Cidade Patriarca, Campos Elíseos, Vila Paranaguá \- Ermelino Matarazzo, São Miguel Paulista \- Vila Itaim, and Arthur Alvim.
We have a team of approximately 300 staff members and serve approximately 2\.500 children aged 0 to 3 years and 11 months.
