Wash and sanitize containers and utensils after use; wash and sterilize meal trays; clean and organize the pantry, excluding floor cleaning and garbage disposal; clean cabinets and equipment according to the Sanitation Department’s hygiene schedule; comply with service orders, instructions, and hospital regulations. Perform hygiene procedures for food items in accordance with departmental standards; receive and inspect food supplies and materials; store received food items and materials appropriately in compliance with departmental standards; promptly report to immediate supervision any shortages and/or changes in the regular supply of food items and materials; submit to immediate supervision signed and dated requisition confirmations and delivery notes; notify the Nutritionist, when necessary, regarding substitutions of ingredients used in food preparations; prepare special meals as requested by the Nutritionist; promptly report to immediate supervision any incidents preventing the preparation of meals; produce and assemble snacks required according to patients’ dietary plans or medical menus. Distribute meals to patients. Measure temperatures of all refrigerators and freezers. Complete all required forms to ensure food safety. Collect daily samples from each batch produced at the hospital. **Minimum Education Level:** Elementary School (1st level)
