Job Summary: A professional responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities across multiple areas—including carpentry, civil works, and painting—while adhering to safety and quality standards. Performs activities in carpentry, civil works, painting, and general services—excluding electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning installations. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance services, repairs, and general finishing work in accordance with workflow and routine manuals, always completing related documentation as required by the role’s scope; * Carry out other tasks as needed or at the discretion of the supervisor, observing established organizational culture practices (role scope, manuals, procedures, and codes of conduct); * Transfer furniture between departments using manual carts; arrange items at the destination area when necessary; * Fabricate and maintain carpentry, joinery, and upholstery; * Repair furniture; replace and adjust doors, windows, and frames; replace parts and repair floors and wooden flooring; * Work in compliance with safety, hygiene, quality, and environmental preservation standards; * Report failures/irregularities that hinder satisfactory task completion or pose risks to facilities to the immediate supervisor; * Check daily service orders in the system and execute them according to priority levels established by Hospital Maintenance Engineering (High, Medium, Low); * Complete service orders, recording data, materials used, incidents, and details of performed work; * Complete the on-duty logbook or prepare a specific report regarding incidents occurring during the shift, if required; * Organize and prepare the workplace; specify and calculate required materials; select tools and equipment to be used; and establish execution schedules; * Perform anchoring services; * Plan installation and maintenance services; perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance; * Follow instructions outlined in construction and repair forms completed by Hospital Maintenance Engineering and signed by SCIH, Hospitality, and SESMT; * Supervise services performed by third-party companies for equipment and systems installation and maintenance to ensure proper task execution; * Observe occupational safety and health regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE); comply with institutional rules and departmental procedures, as well as SESMT guidance regarding precautionary measures and PPE usage, to safeguard health; * Perform masonry, drywall, or naval partition work, including surface waterproofing, cleaning, and application of products when necessary; * Conduct periodic inspections of radios and work tools, following the Hospital Maintenance Engineering inspection form; * Construct, install, or demolish floors, masonry or concrete walls, drywall partitions, slabs, columns, roofing tiles, ceilings, door thresholds, windows, and partitions, using required materials; * Maintain the department/work area clean and organized; * Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, brushing, and removing old paint or damaged sections using scrapers, sandpaper, solvents, and air jets to eliminate residues, and touch up flaws and seams to correct defects and improve paint adhesion; * Paint facades, walls, ceilings, and suspended ceilings involving work at height, complying with NR-35; * Clean and maintain gutters and roofs, complying with NR-35; * Perform garden maintenance. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed elementary education; * Mandatory training: NR35; * Prior experience in this role and high school education are desirable. **SPDM** — Associação Paulista para o Desenvolvimento da Medicina (São Paulo Association for Medical Development) is a non-profit, philanthropic civil association recognized as being of federal, state, and municipal public utility, respectively under Decrees No. 57.925, dated 03/04/1966; No. 40.103, dated 05/17/1962; and No. 8.911, dated 07/30/1970.
