Transportation Scheduler

Description

**Job Objective** You will be responsible for ensuring that no truck remains idle and that every kilometer driven is optimized. Your mission is to match the right cargo with the available vehicle (company-owned fleet or affiliated carriers), guaranteeing on-time delivery and satisfying both drivers and customers. **Key Responsibilities** * **Vehicle Scheduling:** Allocate the available fleet and affiliated vehicles daily to meet transportation demands. * **Direct Negotiation:** Negotiate freight rates and trip conditions with affiliated and third-party drivers, seeking a balance between cost and quality. * **Trip Planning:** Develop comprehensive trip plans, considering loading times at origin and unloading deadlines at destination. * **Intelligent Route Optimization:** Determine optimal routes to reduce transit time, avoid high-risk areas, and optimize fuel consumption. * **Capacity Maximization:** Plan maximum utilization of vehicle capacity (cubic volume and weight), avoiding underutilized trips. * **Flow Monitoring:** Track pickup and delivery statuses, intervening promptly in case of delays or operational issues. **Requirements and Qualifications** * **Experience:** Prior work experience at freight companies, specifically in cargo scheduling or road transportation logistics. * **Technical Knowledge:** Proficiency with route optimization tools (Google Maps API, Roadshow or similar) and ERP/TMS systems. * **Negotiation Skills:** Proactive profile with excellent communication skills for interacting with drivers and partners. * **Analytical Mindset:** Ability to quickly resolve issues and make decisions based on delivery priorities. * **Availability:** Flexible working hours, aligned with transportation operations dynamics. **What We Offer** * Market-competitive salary. * Benefits: Meal Voucher, Food Voucher, Transportation Voucher, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, and Gympass/Wellhub. * Growth opportunities within an expanding freight company.
