To work in the Accelerator Physics Group (FAC) of the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS). The Accelerator Physics Group (FAC) is responsible for defining, maintaining, and continuously improving the primary source of high-brightness and high-stability synchrotron light—the electron beam in accelerators. In the past, FAC defined the design and tolerances of magnetic lattices for both the former accelerator (UVX) and the current accelerator (SIRIUS). Currently, we work to optimize the existing accelerators to achieve their final design parameters, using theoretical modeling, numerical simulations, and machine experiments. We fully exploit accelerator capabilities as new facilities are commissioned—both on the machine itself and at beamlines.
