Description

Job Description: Mandatory Requirements for This Position: * Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Metallurgical); * Postgraduate Degree/MBA in Business Management, Project Management, or Manufacturing Engineering; * Advanced English proficiency; * Solid experience in manufacturing management within high-volume serial-production metalworking industries; * In-depth technical knowledge of machining processes (Drilling, Cylindrical Grinding, Honing/Lapping); * Familiarity with tight geometric tolerances (cylindricity, circularity, runout); * Prior experience managing large teams (leadership of supervisors/leaders); * Technical knowledge of Quality Tools (FMEA, SPC – Statistical Process Control, MASP); * Technical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies (Six Sigma, TPM, WCM). Desirable Requirements for This Position: * Experience with SAP (PP/PM modules) and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) for real-time production management; * Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt or PMP certification; * Prior experience in the automotive industry (due to stringent quality requirements) or specifically in manufacturing rotating components (shafts, crankshafts); * Knowledge of Industry 4.0 applied to machining (tool monitoring via sensors, automation/robotics). Key Responsibilities for This Position: * Full management of the machining cell or plant, ensuring production volumes meet the quality standards required by the automotive/white-goods industry; * Ensuring equipment technical availability, managing tool life, and resolving chronic machining issues (vibration, dimensional deviations, surface finish); * Managing and developing a robust team (Supervisors, Process Engineers, and Operators), fostering a safety-first and high-performance culture; * Leading the implementation of Lean methodologies (WCM, TPM, Six Sigma) to reduce waste and optimize workflow; * Developing and controlling the budget (OPEX) and managing investments in new machinery or facility upgrades (CAPEX). Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): * Safety (Safety First): Accident Frequency Rate (AFR) and Severity Rate. Zero accidents is a mandatory target; * OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness): Overall equipment efficiency. Critical in machining due to the high capital investment (CNC machines, GROB machining centers, grinders, honing machines); * OLE (Overall Labor Effectiveness): Labor or full production-line efficiency, including machine–operator interaction; * Quality (Internal PPM and Scrap Rate): Defective parts per million. Given the product (compressor), sealing integrity and dimensional accuracy must be perfect; * Conversion Cost: Budget control, cutting tool consumption (tooling cost), fluids, and energy usage; * Absenteeism and Turnover: Indicators of people management and workplace climate; * Plan Adherence (Linearity): Achievement of daily/weekly production volumes set by Production Planning & Control (PCP); * JPMH (Jobs per Man per Hour): Productivity. 2512130202201917791
