Thus emerged Santa Catarina’s first steel foundry and one of Brazil’s earliest. Over the past decade, it has acquired other companies to accommodate and expand its production capacity, while also establishing overseas subsidiaries to better serve customers in high-demand commercial regions such as Europe and North America. Altona continuously progresses, consistently identifying the most dynamic sectors of the economy to broaden its scope, develop new markets, and deliver its steel solutions across diverse industries.
