Job Summary: Senior Import Analyst responsible for full management of import processes, negotiation with international suppliers, and legal compliance. Key Highlights: 1. Guarantee of compliance with Brazilian customs legislation An industrial automation company is seeking a Senior Import Analyst in Joinville (Costa e Silva). **Responsibilities:** Full management of the import process: administration of documents, payments, and customs clearance. Strategic negotiation and relationship management with international suppliers. Import planning aligned with the company's strategy. Definition and optimization of Incoterms, transportation modes, and routes. Landed cost analysis and economic/tax feasibility assessment. Support for international make-or-buy decisions. Participation in global Strategic Sourcing projects. Development and evaluation of international suppliers. Management of international commercial contracts and agreements. Guarantee of compliance with Brazilian customs legislation. Tariff classification (NCM/HS) and special classifications (e.g., Ex-tariff, drawback, special regimes). Liaison with approving agencies (ANVISA, MAPA, INMETRO, etc.). Management of import licenses and legal obligations. Prevention of tax risks, fines, and penalties. Coordination of international shipments and interface with freight forwarders. Monitoring of deadlines, transit, delays, damages, and claims. Management of international freight, demurrage, and logistics costs. Planning and control of in-transit inventory (pipeline inventory). Foreign exchange management, international payments, and foreign exchange impact analysis. Interface with the finance department and banking institutions. Definition and monitoring of KPIs (lead time, cost, service level, OTIF). Performance analysis and continuous process improvement. Document verification, control, and traceability. Interface with and validation of customs broker activities. Previous experience as an Import Specialist, Import Coordinator, International Trade Analyst, or International Logistics Analyst may indicate alignment with some of the responsibilities of this position. Bachelor's degree required.
