A Mechanical Lathe Operator is responsible for manufacturing and repairing high-precision parts by operating mechanical lathes. Their work involves cutting and shaping processes on various materials, ensuring components strictly comply with technical drawing specifications, with full emphasis on quality, dimensional accuracy, and operational safety.
**Responsibilities include:**
* Machining and Production: Operate mechanical lathes and other machining equipment (e.g., grinders) to manufacture and repair precision parts such as shafts, pulleys, and threads in metals, plastics, or wood.
* Technical Drawing Interpretation and Measurement: Perform detailed reading and interpretation of technical drawings. Use precision measuring instruments—such as calipers and micrometers—to ensure the accuracy of produced parts.
* Operational Support: Operate hand-held power tools and other devices necessary for executing and finishing workshop tasks.
* Quality and Safety: Maintain a strong sense of organization and cleanliness through the 5S methodology. Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the Cooperative’s safety regulations and required quality standards.
* Maintenance and Preservation: Ensure proper care and preservation of used machines and tools, reporting any need for preventive or corrective maintenance.
**Requirements:** **You may stand out if you have:**
* Technical course in Electromechanics, Mechanics, or related fields.
* Experience in machining and mechanical lathes.
* Availability to work in Pato Branco/PR.
