As the saying goes, "Agriculture never stops"! Our story begins when we, **Henne and Samuel**, college friends still studying Production Engineering at UFMG, decided to explore the great opportunities in Brazilian agribusiness. At that time, Henne was a partner at Y Investimentos and Samuel already had experience in agriculture gained from an early age through his family of rural producers. We identified the opportunity to plant African Mahogany in northern Minas Gerais, as this crop emerged in 2011 as highly promising, and some farmers in the region were already cultivating the species. With no money but great determination to make things happen, we created the Projeto Ouro Verde to plant 100 hectares of this crop. After one year of research and visits across Brazil, we completed a Business Plan, which we used to seek investors. After numerous meetings and many rejections, we finally convinced some investors to embrace our idea, raising the necessary funds to start the project. That's when we purchased our first farm, Ouro Verde Reflorestamento. Starting with the first African Mahogany planting, through hard work and determination, always striving to do things correctly and fairly, the company grew. In 2016, we began banana cultivation at Ouro Verde Reflorestamento de Madeiras Nobres SA, and in **2018** we founded **Ouro Negro Agronegócios SA**, focused on coffee, banana, and African Mahogany cultivation.
