About the Role: Alcoa is seeking a talented and dedicated professional for the position of Environmental Control Engineer PL to serve as a pillar of governance, critical analysis, and strategic planning for the Environmental area of the Reduction facility—ensuring proper data management, structured follow-up of actions, support to operational routines, and strengthening of environmental culture, with an integrated perspective across process, operations, maintenance, safety, and environment. *Other responsibilities include:* * Manage the protocol and incident reporting system for environmental incidents, including control, critical analysis, and investigation—with root cause identification and mitigation measures. * Conduct environmental risk mapping and establish associated categories and critical controls, ensuring process governance and operational compliance. * Ensure governance of environmental action plans, including deadline tracking, frequency, accountability, status updates, and follow-up with involved departments. * Support and lead the governance of environmental audits, SGI, ASI, self-assessments, and internal evaluations. * Manage environmental aspects of chemical products, including analyses, system approvals, and environmental impact assessments. * Lead and support environmental education programs, campaigns, and awareness protocols. * Maintain active field presence, monitoring operations, identifying deviations, and supporting implementation of improvements. * Propose environmental improvements and optimizations, focusing on automation, equipment performance, process enhancements, and innovation opportunities in collaboration with the corporate team. What You Can Bring to This Role: * Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Geology. * Didactic skills for presenting results and trends based on data. * Intermediate/advanced English proficiency. * Experience in governance of action plans and routine-based management; environmental audit processes and management systems (ISO). * Investigation of environmental incidents; environmental management of chemical products. * Management tools and corporate systems (e.g., Cority or similar). * Strong communication skills, ownership mindset, and ability to conduct structured follow-up.
