Maintenance Supervisor
Description: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the administrative maintenance activities for the fleet and equipment, ensuring compliance with preventive and corrective maintenance plans, documentary conformity, cost control, and operational availability of assets, thereby guaranteeing efficiency, safety, and continuity of operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Coordinate and supervise the scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance for trucks, machinery, forklifts, light vehicles, and other company equipment.
* Plan, monitor, and control maintenance plans, ensuring accurate recording of work orders in internal systems or spreadsheets.
* Supervise the request, analysis, and follow-up of quotations and contracts for external services (workshops, tire shops, dealerships, and specialized service providers).
* Ensure organization, control, and updating of fleet and equipment documentation, including checklists, technical reports, invoices, certificates, maintenance reports, and service receipts.
* Monitor and ensure adherence to mandatory inspection deadlines, vehicle licensing, legal inspections, and certificate renewals, avoiding operational and legal risks.
* Prepare, analyze, and present managerial maintenance reports, cost analyses, fleet performance metrics, mileage records, service histories, and departmental KPIs.
* Control and supervise inventory of spare parts, tires, tools, and consumable materials, ensuring appropriate stock levels, traceability, and cost optimization.
* Plan and coordinate maintenance shutdowns, aligning schedules with operational departments to minimize production impact.
* Support management in defining maintenance strategies, continuous process improvement, and reduction of operational costs.
* Guide and monitor the activities of the maintenance administrative team, promoting organization, timely execution, and standardization of procedures.
* Serve as the liaison between the maintenance department, operations, procurement, and external suppliers.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Completed high school education (technical or undergraduate degree in Administration, Logistics, Mechanics, or related fields is desirable).
* Prior experience in the administrative maintenance area for fleets, machinery, or equipment.
* Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance control, work orders, and technical documentation.
* Proficiency in electronic spreadsheets and maintenance management systems.
* Basic knowledge of procurement processes and inventory control.
