Job Summary * Professional responsible for operating, monitoring, and controlling industrial utilities systems in a pharmaceutical environment, ensuring continuous, safe, and compliant supply of essential services supporting production operations. Works in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and internal procedures, ensuring system reliability and support to Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments. Key Responsibilities * Operate and monitor industrial utilities systems, including water, clean steam, compressed air, chillers, boilers, and refrigeration systems. * Perform startups, shutdowns, operational adjustments, and monitoring of critical system parameters in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Monitor process variables (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow rate, levels, conductivity) to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory specifications. * Conduct routine inspections, operational checklists, and functional tests on utilities systems. * Identify operational deviations, alarms, and anomalies; perform initial corrective actions and escalate to the Maintenance team when required. * Maintain rigorous technical records of operations, incidents, and readings in computerized systems, ensuring traceability and data integrity. * Support preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities by releasing equipment and overseeing interventions as required. * Comply with internal standards, regulatory requirements (ANVISA, MAPA, ISO), and occupational safety regulations (NRs). * Support internal and external audits by providing technical information and operational evidence upon request. * Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance departments, maintaining clear and effective technical communication. Desired Qualifications: Education * Completed high school education. * Technical training in Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnology, Electromechanics, Refrigeration, or related fields is desirable. Experience * Proven experience as a utilities operator or in similar roles within an industrial environment. * Prior experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, food, or other regulated industries. Technical Knowledge * Practical knowledge of industrial utilities systems operation. * Basic understanding of boiler, compressor, chiller, and water treatment system operation. * Ability to read basic field instruments, control panels, and supervisory systems (e.g., SCADA or similar). * Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and strict adherence to SOPs. * Basic understanding of occupational safety and application of Regulatory Standards (NRs). * Ability to perform operational and technical recordkeeping in computerized systems. Desirable / Differentiating Qualifications * Specific experience with water treatment and clean steam systems in classified areas. * Experience working in environments subject to ANVISA, MAPA, or international audits (FDA, EMA). * Basic knowledge of industrial automation, sensors, automatic valves, and control systems. * Additional training in boiler operation, industrial refrigeration, utilities systems, or GMP. * Familiarity with operational and reliability indicators for utilities systems. * Experience with computerized utilities or maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP PM or similar).
