**Operations Leader – Grocery Department** **Departments:** Grocery **Job Description** We are seeking an Operations Supervisor I to lead the Grocery Department activities, ensuring excellence in customer service, department organization, inventory control, and compliance with internal quality, hygiene, and safety standards. The professional will be responsible for team management, performance indicator monitoring, and implementation of strategies that drive improved operational and commercial results. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead Grocery Department, warehouse, and receiving area activities; * Manage the team by preparing work schedules, guiding daily tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies; * Coordinate department restocking and proper product storage; * Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize losses due to damage or expiration; * Track and update departmental performance indicators daily, proposing improvement actions; * Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, and Sanitary Surveillance regulations; * Maintain equipment, organization, sanitation, and waste control; * Plan, control, and execute departmental operations. **Requirements** * Prior experience in retail, preferably in grocery or supermarket settings; * Experience leading teams; * Knowledge of inventory control and performance metrics; * Familiarity with merchandising and product display strategies; * Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and sanitary surveillance regulations; **Behavioral Competencies** * Leadership and people management; * Organization and planning; * Proactivity and results orientation; * Clear and concise communication; * Commitment to quality and customer service.
