Key job responsibilities * Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in IT-related fields. * Basic experience with Linux or Unix. * Knowledge of network cabling. * English communication skills. * Experience installing network equipment. * Experience managing component inventory and ticket prioritization systems. * Familiarity with data center or mission-critical environments. A day in the life Our operations team seeks someone motivated to support our data centers in Brazil. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a fast-paced technology company and a global leader in data centers. This person will ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed data center operational service levels. This role involves rapid hardware and network diagnostics and physical repair, which may include participation in an on-call shift rotation. We seek individuals willing to work both independently and collaboratively. Prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to respond quickly are essential for success. Beyond hardware and network repair, our team installs equipment, creates documentation, innovates solutions, and resolves issues within the data center. Data center operations involve teams working 24x7 on rotating shifts. We care deeply about your career growth and strive to assign projects that help each team member develop and eventually lead more complex initiatives.**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS** ------------------------ * Currently pursuing a degree in IT-related fields, with a minimum of 6 months’ verifiable experience in related areas; * Knowledge of network cabling; troubleshooting computer hardware, repairing and replacing components; * Basic experience with Linux, Unix, or similar operating systems; * Ability to follow well-defined technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); * Fluent in Portuguese; * Reading and comprehension in English; * May require local and/or international travel; * This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift and stack equipment up to 18 kg; may require working in confined spaces or elevated locations, adhering to health and safety guidelines. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** ---------------------------- * Familiarity with Data Centers or mission-critical environments; * Installation of network equipment; * Receiving and inventorying components; * Ability to work with ticket prioritization systems; * Hands-on experience with network cabling; * Highly organized and capable of following procedures to complete tasks; * Enthusiastic about technology.
