The **Maintenance Mechanic** is responsible for: a) performing corrective and preventive maintenance on components, equipment, and industrial machines; b) planning maintenance activities according to priorities, evaluating operating conditions and performance of machines and equipment; c) lubricating machines, components, and tools; d) documenting technical information; e) performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machines and equipment such as: main power panel, well panel, compressor (preventive), mixer, washing machines, centrifuges, ovens, sewing machines, press, electric and manual pallet trucks, fans, hand dryers, forklifts, among others; f) reading and interpreting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings during machine maintenance; g) replacing parts and equipment, preparing reports on replaced parts, and recording them in the machine history; h) evaluating whether the parts and equipment being replaced are suitable for the machine or process operation, suggesting appropriate (better) parts or equipment to reduce maintenance time and cost; i) whenever possible, fabricating and repairing machine elements such as parts and accessories; j) monitoring machine operators to help reduce waste and costs; k) keeping the maintenance room, toolboxes, and work areas clean and organized after maintenance; l) having mechanical device maintenance skills and knowledge in machine maintenance and repair; m) guiding third parties on service execution, verifying if services were performed as planned, approving them, or rejecting and reorienting if not compliant; reporting service completion and approval status to immediate supervisor. The same procedures apply to third-party preventive services such as elevators and compressors; n) complying with maintenance procedures and being subject to disciplinary actions.
