The Toll Operator's mission is to ensure accurate toll collection and provide safe, efficient service to highway users. Responsibilities include toll collection, system operation, cash handling, value verification, manual and automatic (AVI) user service, user guidance, signage organization, and support for plaza operations, ensuring compliance with concessionaire procedures.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Perform daily toll collection at designated toll booths, identifying vehicle categories and collecting stipulated fees, recording transactions via the system and issuing receipts to users.
* Serve highway users, managing automatic toll collection (AVI – Automatic Vehicle Identification).
* Conduct regular cash withdrawals from the booth’s cash box, removing accumulated funds to ensure the cash balance remains within the company’s insurance coverage limits.
* Assist oversized cargo vehicles by directing them to auxiliary lanes, verifying all required transport documentation, and ensuring adherence to standard procedures.
* Daily assistance to vehicles within the toll plaza, providing support as needed, identifying potential issues, and promptly notifying relevant teams to assist on-site users.
* Daily organization of toll plaza signage, inspecting lane signage components, identifying damaged or broken items requiring replacement, and ensuring clear identification and safety for all road users.
* Daily guidance to highway users, informing them of possible incidents, road closures, or detours, ensuring users are aware of current traffic conditions.
* Daily verification of banknote authenticity using specific counterfeit detection techniques, ensuring only genuine banknotes are accepted.
* Provide daily support to the Toll Supervisor, assisting in all assigned tasks to enhance service efficiency.
* Perform auxiliary lane duties according to shift schedule, including user service, AVI operations, and toll plaza signage.
* Maintain daily control of the change kit and account for collected funds, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial processes.
* Request coin payments from users to facilitate change issuance.
* Be responsible for the delivery and proper distribution of the Concessionaire’s promotional materials, ensuring they reach the target audience as planned.

* Completed High School education;
* Availability to work on a rotating 2-days-on/2-days-off schedule (Day or Night shift);
* Basic knowledge of counterfeit banknote identification;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Nova Rota do Oeste is the concessionaire responsible for the 850.9 km stretch of BR-163 between Itiquira (MT) and Sinop (MT). The company assumed the concession for BR-163/364 in Mato Grosso.
