Laboratory technician responsible for advising users, preparing materials, maintaining laboratory operations and organization, as well as performing inventory control and service delivery.

**Responsibilities and Duties** **As a Laboratory Technician, you will:**
* Advise students, faculty, staff, and unit users on various equipment used during practical classes and service delivery;
* Test and prepare materials and equipment for practical classes;
* Update documentation when required and requested;
* Perform washing and sterilization of materials used in laboratory procedures;
* Dispose of materials and reagents used in laboratory procedures;
* Manage inventory control of reagents and materials in the laboratory;
* Ensure proper functioning of the laboratory and/or professional training facility; when necessary, courteously warn users upon detecting irregularities or improper equipment usage;
* Conduct periodic inspections of laboratory assets and promptly inform the responsible party upon identifying changes or any irregularities;
* Maintain the laboratory usage schedule for interested parties;
* Identify safety-related irregularities affecting laboratory users;
* Provide patient reception services (performing pre\-analytical phase), including patient registration and assisting with report typing when necessary;
* Verify expiration dates of reagents in stock, organizing and disposing of them properly upon request by the biomedical professional;
* Analyze daily temperature logs across all laboratory sectors.
**Requirements and Qualifications** **It is essential that you have:**
* Technical or undergraduate degree in Chemistry;
* Prior direct experience in the healthcare field;
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
