**Responsibilities and Duties** **JOB MISSION:**
Deliver and prepare teaching materials for undergraduate courses according to pre-established guidelines and content, administer exams, conduct in-class assignments, and clarify student doubts.
**MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Develop the course syllabus—including content and methodology—adhering to the pedagogical curriculum outline and submitting it for approval by the Course Coordination. Deliver lectures according to the specific teaching plan to foster student learning. Maintain updated attendance records for students in class. Evaluate student performance through the development and administration of specific assessment instruments and pedagogical follow-up, ensuring students acquire the skills and competencies required by the pedagogical plan. Prepare, administer, and grade assessments, returning results to students. Record and publish assessment results, adhering to the academic calendar.
* Keep the class diary entries up to date. Follow the discipline’s bibliographic references established by the Teaching Faculty and suggest alternative references. Participate in course collegial meetings to refine the pedagogical project. Supervise undergraduate thesis projects when assigned. Stay current on pedagogical practices. Participate in research and/or extension activities related to one’s field of expertise, as well as serve on committees and evaluation panels when designated. Maintain academic/scientific output aligned with course guidelines. Attend scientific events related to one’s area of expertise to disseminate knowledge and acquire new insights.
* Report to the Course Coordination and students on the progress of pedagogical activities and any institutional or disciplinary issues (conduct, procedures, attendance). Participate in the Teaching Faculty when designated, fulfilling duties inherent to the role. Stay current on institutional documents. Promote and uphold the institution’s code of ethics; comply with and enforce decisions made by collegial bodies and the leadership of one’s Academic Unit, as well as the institution’s guiding principles—vision, mission, and values. Attend departmental and other administrative meetings (e.g., Undergraduate Course Collegium; Postgraduate Course Collegium; committees to which the faculty member belongs).
* Attend research group meetings to discuss projects, articles, and research progress. Prepare lectures, grade exams and student assignments. Draft proposals for funding calls (e.g., project financing; scholarships; travel grants), as well as produce specific analytical reports. Write articles, books, and book chapters; submit them for publication and revise them. Review articles upon request from scientific journals. Prepare abstracts for submission of proposals to present papers at conferences and other scientific events. Prepare lectures, keynote speeches, and panel discussions for presentation at conferences and other scientific events—as well as attend such conferences and scientific events.
* Serve on master’s thesis qualification and defense committees and doctoral dissertation defense committees—both within the institution and at external institutions outside one’s city. Appropriately utilize institutional systems and resources for work-related tasks, in accordance with defined norms and procedures. Be aware of and comply with work norms, procedures, or instructions established by Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, as applicable to one’s area of responsibility and as defined by the institution or current legislation.
**Requirements and Qualifications** **Education:**
* Completed Master’s degree or currently pursuing a Doctorate.
**Computer Skills:**
* Microsoft Office suite.
