Full Occupational Safety Technician (Second Shift)

Description

Job Summary: A professional responsible for inspecting, identifying risks, promoting workplace safety, developing safety standards, and investigating accidents, ensuring compliance and employee well-being. Key Highlights: 1. Promotes safety and accident prevention. 2. Leads the implementation of safety standards. 3. Investigates accidents and improves work processes.  Conduct daily inspections at the company to detect, record, and rectify unsafe conditions in the workplace, as well as guide employees on observing safety standards, correct procedures, and proper use of tools, machines, and various equipment.  Verify employees' use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), advising them on risks associated with non-use.  Identify risks in work processes and propose improvement alternatives to prevent accidents.  Ensure implementation and application of safety procedures by providing technical guidance to all factory departments regarding occupational safety.  Promote activities aimed at guiding, informing, and raising awareness among workers about accident and occupational disease prevention.  Maintain the fire protection system, including distributing fire extinguishers, testing pumps, testing alarms, monitoring expiration dates of recharges, and arranging external inspections—ensuring the system remains fully operational during emergencies.  Maintain continuous interaction with the Internal Accident Prevention Commission (CIPA).  Monitor safety and health targets, indicators, and results.  Complete the CAT form in case of accidents.  Prepare or participate in preparing the risk inventory.  Monitor implementation of the Risk Management Program (PGR) action plan.  Prepare work permits and supervise high-risk work execution, guiding employees to avoid accidents.  Develop internal occupational safety standards and procedures to guide employees during activities and ensure compliance with legal requirements.  Immediately propose suspension of activities and adoption of corrective and/or control measures upon identifying work conditions or situations posing serious and imminent risks to worker safety or health.  Lead or accompany investigations of accidents and occupational diseases, in accordance with the PGR.  Complete the PPP form when required, compiling employee data.  Monitor and participate in activities of the Occupational Health Medical Control Program (PCMSO), per Regulatory Standard No. 07 (NR-07).  Assume technical responsibility for guiding compliance with applicable NRs governing the company's activities.
