Resource optimization and cost control **HOTEL ROCHELLE is hiring a KITCHEN CHEF to join our operational team.** If you are dynamic, possess leadership qualities, and enjoy challenges, join us! **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** * Create and develop menus; * Directly and indirectly participate in food preparation; * Manage the kitchen brigade and plan daily work routines; * Oversee team management and internal procedures; * Control costs and optimize resources; * Ensure compliance with quality and hygiene standards; * Supervise all kitchen operations; * Suggest innovations and improvements to processes and menus; * Build relationships with customers and internal team members; * Perform administrative tasks (purchase requisitions, overtime tracking, vacation scheduling, staffing planning, and shift scheduling); * Manage inventory and supplies; * Conduct staff training and development. **MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS** * Bachelor's degree in Gastronomy; * Proven experience in kitchen operations within the hotel industry; * Experience in breakfast service, lunch buffets, snacks, and desserts; * Solid experience in team management and task delegation; * Knowledge of sanitary regulations and good food handling practices; * Practical experience as a cook (oven and stove) and pastry chef; * Knowledge of occupational safety and leadership. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** * Courses in culinary arts, pastry, food handling, occupational safety, administration, or leadership. **BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES** * Leadership; * Responsibility, ethics, and professionalism; * Attention to detail and precision; * Dynamism and ability to handle unforeseen situations; * Sound judgment for conflict resolution; * Adaptability to new standards and processes; * Flexibility to meet operational demands and manage people. **COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS** * CLT employment contract; * 44-hour weekly schedule, rotating 6x1 shift pattern; * Meal voucher (on-site); * Food allowance; * Transportation allowance (5% payroll deduction); * Annual bonus.
