Job Summary: Responsible for the production of infant formula and enteral diets, ensuring quality, hygiene, and compliance with medical prescriptions and procedures. Key Highlights: 1. Production of infant formula and enteral diets according to prescriptions and standard operating procedures 2. Handling of raw materials using precision instruments and quality control 3. Maintaining hygiene and disinfection to prevent contamination Produce infant formula and enteral diets in accordance with medical prescriptions, the Lactation Unit’s Standard Operating Procedures Manual, and routine protocols, aiming for product quality. * Use necessary precision instruments for handling raw materials (scale, graduated cylinder, syringe), ensuring reconstitution and dilution according to medical or dietitian prescriptions. * Maintain high-level disinfection of utensils involved in the production of infant formula and enteral diets, and ensure sector hygiene, complying with the Lactation Unit’s standard operating procedures and routine protocols to prevent contamination. * Keep formulations up to date according to demand, discarding preparations for patients who have been discharged, are fasting, have passed away, or whose composition has changed, as requested by administrative assistants or trainees, and in accordance with prescription changes. * Distribute infant formula and enteral diets to inpatient units, following the Patient Identification Policy. * Attend to and guide lactating mothers at the Human Milk Collection Station, in accordance with the unit’s routine manual, to ensure safe collection. * Identify, store, and transport collected human milk following standard operating procedures, aiming to guarantee milk quality.
