Ready to begin? **With us, you can.** **About This Opportunity** WSP Brazil is launching a search for a **Geochemistry Intern**, to work in **Belo Horizonte/MG**. **Responsibilities for This Role** * Support the compilation, organization, and interpretation of geochemical, hydrochemical, and environmental data from various sources. * Assist in developing databases, charts, tables, thematic maps, and technical figures. * Support evaluation of chemical analysis results, including pH, conductivity, alkalinity, major ions, metals, and general water quality parameters. * Monitor preparation of control spreadsheets, QA/QC, and data consistency verification routines. * Assist in preparing reports, technical notes, and presentations. * Support tasks related to geochemical characterization of materials (tailings, waste rock, soils, groundwater, and surface water). * Develop technical knowledge of analytical standards, good sampling practices, QA/QC, and fundamentals of environmental geochemistry. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental, mining, and legacy liability management projects. **Required Qualifications** * Currently pursuing a degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. * Interest in building a career in environmental geochemistry and hydrochemistry. * Ability to work with data, organize information, and prepare documents. * Proficiency in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). * Strong written communication skills and attention to detail. * Availability to intern in a hybrid model at the Belo Horizonte office. **Preferred Qualifications** * Basic knowledge of geochemistry, hydrochemistry, mineralogy, or water quality. * Introductory knowledge of GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS). * Initial familiarity with environmental sampling and measurement procedures. * Basic understanding of statistical analysis applied to environmental data assessment. * Introductory knowledge of programming tools applicable to data analysis: Python, R, SQL, or similar. * Basic understanding of QA/QC, analytical methods (ABNT, EPA, ISO), and concepts of environmental geochemistry. * Intermediate English and/or Spanish (desirable). **What WSP Brazil Offers:** * You can join our “Own It” program, enabling you to acquire shares of WSP Global through monthly contributions (deducted from payroll) and benefit from an additional 50% contribution from WSP (up to a defined maximum amount).
