Description

Job Summary: A professional responsible for performing various maintenance and care tasks for gardens and green areas, including weeding, irrigation, pruning, planting, and equipment operation. Key Highlights: 1. Comprehensive maintenance of gardens and green areas 2. Operation of manual and mechanized equipment 3. Focus on safety and standard operating procedures 1. Rake lawns, leaves, and grass clippings using manual, mechanized, electric, or combustion-powered equipment; 2. Collect and dispose of grass clippings and plant waste; 3. Perform weeding using manual, mechanized, electric, or combustion-powered equipment; 4. Clean and sweep streets and curbs within parks and gardens of the work unit using manual, mechanized, electric, or combustion-powered equipment; 5. Irrigate pots, flower beds, gardens, and green areas in general; 6. Furrow and dig soil, introducing seeds and seedlings; 7. Form soil mounds around plant bases; 8. Assist in and/or develop pruning and cutting plans for ground-cover plants, low-growing plants, or trees; 9. Perform mulching and planting with vegetative ground cover; 10. Collect soil samples; 11. Apply foliar fertilizers and fertilizers; 12. Fertilize planting holes, crops, and gardens, identifying pests and parasites; 13. Clean small-scale channels and gutters obstructed by vegetation using manual, mechanized, electric, or combustion-powered tools; 14. Assist in maintaining indoor and outdoor gardens (cleaning, removing dead leaves, pruning, pulling weeds, and removing diseased plants); 15. Apply agricultural pesticides to control specific local vegetation pests—only when authorized by ANVISA/IBAMA and requested by the client for the respective unit/site; 16. Inspect equipment conditions according to the client’s and/or Sodexo’s checklist before any activity and report any nonconformities to the immediate supervisor; 17. Perform grass cutting as needed and per the pre-established cutting plan; 18. Mow gardens, vacant lots, flower beds, and squares using manual, mechanized, electric, or combustion-powered equipment; 19. Prune gardens, flower beds, and open fields using manual, mechanized, electric, or combustion-powered equipment; 20. Operate manual or ride-on lawn mowers, tractors, brush cutters, and other mechanized, electric, or combustion-powered equipment—driving and maneuvering the machine, starting the engine, and operating its controls for pruning and lawn cleaning; 21. Clean and lubricate equipment, machines, and their attachments following the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions, and replace parts when necessary; 22. Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities for equipment and attachments, and perform required tests after completion; 23. Properly use manual tools for cutting, pruning, and garden/plantation maintenance, as well as electric or combustion-powered brush cutters and lawn mowers; 24. Carry out tasks in accordance with established work plans and Standard Operating Procedures; 25. Use equipment and procedures mandated by the occupational safety team through work permits for relevant activities such as working at heights, in confined spaces, and in hazardous zones; 26. Participate in Safety Dialogues (DDS) together with the operational team and occupational safety technicians; 27. Report all incidents and accidents arising from performed activities or observed during work; 28. Record data and information regarding completed tasks according to established standards for supervisory control; 29. Perform related tasks; 30. Organize the workplace, materials, and tools after task completion and at the end of the work shift; 31.
