The Laboratory Assistant - Analytical supports the performance of chemical and physical analyses in laboratories, following established procedures and technical standards. This professional is responsible for preparing solutions, calibrating equipment, collecting samples, and organizing the work environment. TECHNICAL AREA * Organize and store records generated by laboratory activities (work schedule, protocol, requisition, etc.); * Sort samples for the serum bank, maintaining the ideal temperature to ensure sample stability; * Autoclave materials; * Clean instruments, equipment, and workbenches; * Perform sterilization, disinfection, washing, and drying of materials and utensils; * Monitor and record temperatures of laboratory equipment and environments; * Portion reagents and prepare corresponding labels; * Dilute culture media; * Perform microbiology department activities and their respective controls: inoculate urine and stool cultures, perform Rugai tests, and conduct antimicrobial susceptibility testing; * Perform mycology department activities: inoculate fungal cultures; * Perform hematology department activities and their respective controls: run complete blood counts on analyzers, prepare blood smears, measure erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), count reticulocytes, and perform blood typing; * Perform urinalysis department activities and their respective controls: prepare urine samples for analysis; * Perform immunological tests and their respective controls: VDRL, BHCG, PCR, FR, and rapid tests for COVID-19, Influenza, and Dengue NS1; * Stain microscope slides; * Manage inventory control; * Place orders with central supply warehouse; * Place orders for support services. SECONDARY ACTIVITIES: SAMPLE COLLECTION: * Collect biological samples; * Receive samples collected by clients; * Identify samples (collected or received) and prepare them for transport, ensuring preservation and stability; * Verify expiration dates and batch numbers of collection supplies, recording their opening; * Restock collection room supplies. * Conduct external collections (corporate and residential) as needed; * Prepare or receive the sample transport kit; * Check and record the transport kit temperature. * Clean and organize collection rooms; * Collect sharps containers and trash bags when full or ready for handover to specialized waste transportation company (Colix); * Package waste, ensuring proper identification and use of appropriate containers. CUSTOMER SERVICE: * Provide customer service and register private test request forms; * Verify consistency between test requisitions and client registration data; * Respond to WhatsApp messages; * Provide telephone support; * Advise clients using information obtained from the Lab Apoio website; * Deliver ICC (Instructions for Collection and Care) documents to clients, ensuring proper preparation for self-collection and/or testing; * Handle financial transactions (collect payment for tests); * Issue collection confirmation receipts indicating report delivery timelines; * Send results to physicians and clients; * Deliver sealed reports and update SIL system records.
