**Functions of a Cashier Operator** * Greet customers courteously. * Clarify questions about prices, promotions, or payment methods. * Provide prompt and respectful service. * Scan products using the barcode reader or manually enter them. * Verify items and amounts on the screen. * Operate the cash register to receive payments in cash, credit/debit cards, PIX, vouchers, and others. * Issue invoices or fiscal receipts. * Check the change fund at the beginning of the shift. * Perform closing procedures at the end of the shift (verify amounts, generate reports, justify discrepancies, if any). * Keep the cashier area clean and organized. * Ensure the security of money and equipment. * Manage available change. * Request additional cash as needed.
