Come join our team and become a Med Member **Responsibilities and Duties** Thus, polysomnography technicians shall be required—always under medical supervision—to perform the following tasks or duties: a) Use diagnostic and therapeutic tools prescribed by physicians. b) Identify sleep stages. c) Recognize polysomnographic characteristics of events associated with major sleep disorders. d) Record physiological variables during sleep, such as cerebral electrical activity, eye movements, muscle tone, oral and nasal airflow, respiratory effort, leg movements, and blood oxygenation. e) Perform health promotion and assistance activities according to professional training specifics or assigned functions, as well as other activities compatible with the function and educational level within the scope of PMDF’s operations. f) Attend up to three (3) work meetings per year—even if scheduled on days or at times different from those established for regular working hours—as long as prior notice is provided.
