Job Summary:
The Senior Long-Term Mine Planning Engineer is responsible for the conception, evaluation, and optimization of the mine production plan, ensuring the technical, economic, operational, geotechnical, and environmental viability of the mining business.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
The Senior Long-Term Mine Planning Engineer is responsible for conceiving, evaluating, and optimizing medium- and long-term mine production plans, ensuring the technical, economic, operational, geotechnical, and environmental viability of the mining business in alignment with corporate strategy.
Acts as the technical reference in mine planning, integrating geological, geotechnical, operational, processing, environmental, and economic data to support strategic decisions and ensure the asset's sustainability throughout its operational life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain the long-term mine plan (LOM – Life of Mine);
* Define strategic mining sequencing, production rates, cut\-off grades, mine life, etc., according to company-defined assumptions;
* Evaluate various production, pricing, cost, and technical constraint scenarios;
* Ensure integration among long-, medium-, and short-term plans;
* Perform pit optimization or strategic layout optimization;
* Conduct trade\-offs, sensitivity analyses, and risk assessments;
* Support economic studies (NPV, payback, IRR) and strategic decision-making;
* Integrate geological, geotechnical, and mining operational data and assumptions to ensure consistency among design, planning, and future execution;
* Ensure plans comply with internal technical standards, regulatory and legal requirements, and best practices in mining engineering;
* Support mineral reserve declarations, internal and external technical audits, and official and corporate reporting.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering;
* Active CREA registration;
* Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency;
* Experience with open-pit mining;
* Experience with Datamine, Deswik, AutoCAD;
* Advanced English proficiency preferred.
