The **Digital Learning Director** is the strategist responsible for designing and managing the organization's technological teaching ecosystem. Their mission is to ensure that technology serves not merely as a delivery medium but as a tool that enhances learner engagement and knowledge retention. You will lead platform selection (LMS/LXP), modern instructional design, and educational data analytics.
**Key Responsibilities**
* **EdTech Strategy:** Define and implement the educational technology roadmap, including learning platforms (LMS), authoring tools, and virtual/augmented reality solutions.
* **Instructional Design and Learning Experience (LX):** Oversee the creation of digital content (videos, SCORM, gamification), ensuring adherence to best practices in *Learning Experience Design*.
* **Learning Ecosystem Management:** Manage integration among the LMS, HR/academic systems, and educational data analytics tools.
* **Innovation and Methodologies:** Implement trends such as *Microlearning*, *Social Learning*, and AI-based adaptive learning paths.
* **Data Analytics (Learning Analytics):** Use data to identify competency gaps, measure learner engagement, and demonstrate ROI (Return on Investment) of digital initiatives.
* **Faculty Development:** Lead training programs to enable instructors and tutors to master digital tools and new online teaching dynamics.
* **Project Management:** Coordinate cross-functional teams comprising instructional designers, multimedia developers, and IT specialists.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* **Experience:** Minimum of 8 years in digital education or instructional design, with at least 3 years in leadership or EdTech project management roles.
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy, Educational Technology, Design, or related fields. A postgraduate degree in Online Education Management or Instructional Design is highly desirable.
**Technical Knowledge:**
* Advanced proficiency with LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas, SuccessFactors, Docebo).
* Familiarity with e-learning technical standards (SCORM, xAPI, LTI).
* Experience with authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
**Soft Skills:**
* *Digital-First* mindset and ease adapting to emerging technologies.
* Ability to translate pedagogical concepts to technical teams and vice versa.
* Evidence- and data-driven results orientation.
