Description: We are looking for someone who dares to take the lead with us. Responsibilities and duties: * Act as Tech Lead with a primary focus on backend (Java), also supporting architectural decisions and technical guidance for the team. * Serve as the liaison between the insurer’s IT department and the Business Unit, translating functional requirements into technical guidance for the squad. * Align with architecture teams to discuss solutions, propose improvements, and validate technical directions. * Support the development team with technical questions related to business rules, integrations, and requirements. * Analyze technical impacts generated by functional requirements and correctly direct the involved teams. * Participate in the agile model (squads), contributing to definitions, ceremonies, and best practices. * Ensure adherence to technical guidelines and support resolution of blockers. * Adopt a consultative approach: seek information, validate assumptions, and maintain active communication with internal stakeholders from the client. Requirements and qualifications: * Strong backend experience, with proficiency in Java (current versions, e.g., Java 21). * Experience with architecture and building modern systems. * Solid knowledge of AWS, with at least Cloud Practitioner certification. * Experience in corporate projects with large volumes of business rules (especially in complex environments). * Ability to discuss solutions with architects, understand technical implications, and guide the team. * Basic/intermediate knowledge of Angular to support frontend when necessary (not the primary focus). * Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with both technical and business areas. Desirable: * Additional AWS certifications, especially: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Developer Associate. * AWS Solutions Architect Associate. * AWS Developer Associate. * Prior experience in the Insurance sector (strong differentiator). * Familiarity with Oracle and JBoss 8. * Previous experience as Full Stack (supporting frontend, but with stronger focus on backend).
