Eixo SP is responsible for the largest highway concession in Brazil. It manages over 1,200 kilometers of road network formed by 12 highways in São Paulo state, passing through municipalities from Rio Claro, in the central region of São Paulo, to Panorama in the far west, bordering Mato Grosso do Sul. The company began operations in June 2020, investing in infrastructure projects, signage, technology, human and operational resources to serve users. The concessionaire manages 263.42 kilometers of SP-310 and SP-225, between the cities of São Carlos and Rio Claro, and from Itirapina to Bauru, which were already under concession for 20 years, and 958 kilometers of highways previously managed by DER – Department of Highways – consisting of segments of SP-284; SP-293; SP-294; SP-331; SP-425; SP-261; SP-304; SP-308; SP-197 and SP-191, connecting municipalities in the Bauru, Marília, and Presidente Prudente regions. The contract signed with the São Paulo state government foresees investments of BRL 14 billion in infrastructure and technology over a 30-year concession period. A total of 600 kilometers of highways will be duplicated, along with construction of shoulders, parallel roads, and bike lanes. The User Assistance Service (SAU) already operates 24 hours a day along the entire stretch, providing emergency support to users.
