The Telecommunications Network Technician is the professional responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications network equipment and systems. Their activities cover both the physical and logical network infrastructure, ensuring connectivity, service quality, and communication security. This professional resolves technical issues, performs tests, and implements improvements, contributing to network efficiency and availability. * **Installation and Configuration:** Install and configure network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, servers, transmission systems (fiber optics, radio, etc.), and other telecommunications devices. Configure network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, etc.), network services (DNS, DHCP, etc.), and security systems. Perform fiber optic and metallic cable splicing, termination, and testing.
