Transform data into business-relevant insights **Date:** Apr 30, 2026 **Location:** BOITUVA, SP, BR **Company:** Grupo Petropolís **Database and Data Engineering Specialist** We seek a Database and Data Engineering Specialist to build, manage, and evolve the company's data ecosystem, ensuring quality, security, and high availability. The professional will be responsible for developing data pipelines, administering cloud-based databases, supporting strategic analytics, and transforming data into business-relevant insights. ✅ **Key Responsibilities:** * Administer and optimize relational and non-relational databases in cloud environments * Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) * Work on cloud data architecture, ensuring scalability and security * Implement data governance, quality, and integrity practices * Develop and support strategic dashboards, reports, and KPIs * Collaborate with data, technology, and business teams **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields * Solid experience with SQL databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and advanced queries * Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS, Azure, or GCP) * Experience with data pipelines and orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar) * Proficiency in programming languages for data (Python, Java, or Scala) * Experience with data modeling and concepts of data quality and governance * Knowledge of BI and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) * Familiarity with DAX and analytical environments * Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus * Strong communication skills, analytical mindset, and ability to collaborate effectively * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office **Desirable Differentiators:** * Experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) * Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) * Postgraduate degree, MBA, or specialization in Data, Analytics, or related areas CLT \- MON TO THU 08\-18H \- FRI 08\-17H HYBRID MODEL: 3 days per week in Boituva/SP Benefits that make a difference: * Health Insurance * Dental Insurance * Life Insurance * Meal Allowance and On-site Restaurant * Pharmacy Benefits * Wellhub (Gympass) * Commuter Bus (for select cities in the region) * University Partnerships * Saber Viver Program * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Telemedicine * ✏ School Supplies Allowance * Profit Sharing (PLR) * Pet Health Insurance (Guapeco) * Monthly Pack and Birthday & Christmas Kits
